Ice Ice Baby
Baby It's Cold Outside
It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas
Ice Box
Cold As Ice
If I were to create a playlist to accompany the last couple of days it would contain these songs. It's cold, it's icy and there isn't any reason to leave the house but we have to....to work....to pay for the house. We're adults, we don't get snow days and it sure is a big bummer.
This is the view of our backyard from our kitchen window. Lovely huh? Makes you feel all warm and toasty right? Not so much it makes me want to grab a blanket and cuddle.
The winter is really starting to get to me now. It happens with every season. About halfway through, I'm ready for the next. It's freaking cold and we can't go outside. I'm ready for some spring showers and some flowers. We spend most of our weekends and our Wednesdays holed up trying to stay warm and I'm getting bored. So, today I attempted to put a ponytail in Maddie's hair, for about the fifth time. And what do you know, today it worked.
Yes, I realize that a ponytail is totally unnecessary due to the fact that her hair isn't long enough to get in the way to necessitate a ponytail but I've been dying to do something with her hair for over a year. And today...success. See this is what boredom does and you have to admit it is really cute.

On Sunday we went to the Children's Museum, yes again. Hey, this place is awesome I'm telling ya. This was the first time Ryan has been able to go with us to see our little gal in action.
I love, love, love watching the two of them play.
One of the two was not a fan of the carousel today. Can you spot which one?
I've come to the realization that it is impossible to get Madison to look at the camera while we are at the museum. There is just way too much going on for her to focus on my silly camera that is always around.
January 30th. This is a day of reflection for us. A day, two years ago, we hurt. We lost. But now we reflect. We've healed and now we are grateful. Things happen for a reason and we are thankful. But we will never forget.

Saturday was filled with celebration. Baby Helen turned 1.
It was such a nice relaxing party. The kiddos played as mamas sat nearby on the floor and talked.
Congratulations Lee and Ben! You have a gorgeous daughter who is full of life, fun and personality.
Happy Birthday Helen!

Tonight I'll leave you with this. Goodnight!
