"I go basketball game."

We are Hoosiers and basketball is right of passage here in the Midwest, especially in Indiana. Cold winter nights are spent in the local high school gym watching teenage boys duke it out on the court. We don't know a local high school basketball player but we do know someone in the pep band who plays an equally important part as the ball players on those Friday nights....my niece.

Madison loves going to the basketball games not for the b-ball but to hear the music. She is our little entertainer for the evening.

The music is the highlight to Madison's evening but equally important to attending a basketball game is the M&M's Uncle Brian buys for her and the sips of Coke she sneaks from him. Yeah, I see it. I see it all and they think I'm not even paying attention. Shoot.....

Of course, I claim that she is watching each and every move of the cheerleaders and sometimes I just may be correct.

She's got her pom-poms and waves them proud.

**************** Lingering question: Did Madison get in to the Montessori school? Well we don't know yet. We had our visit, fell in love with the school and are anxious to get her in. They began enrollment for the current students in February. Any remaining spots will be opened up to others on March 1st. I emailed the school administrator today with some questions and also asked if bribery would help. No joke. I asked. Hey, a Mama's got to do what a Mama's got to do for her baby.

Also, I'm totally not ignoring talking on the phone to some of you for any particular reason other than my phone is junk. If you recall, I accidentally washed my phone several months ago. It's been working fine other than the caller sounds as if they are located in China when I speak to them. Which I was learning to deal with until Madison dropped my phone in ketchup several weeks ago and clogged the remaining speaker. Therefore, all conversations must not be held on speaker phone. It's really convenient when your OB doctor calls and you're at the grocery store. The guy picking out his morning cereal was really concerned with my monthly cycle, I could totally tell. Shoot who needs privacy. Anyway, currently working on a new phone.
